 Symmetry Electronics Corporation announced a new agreement under which Symmetry becomes an authorized distributor of FMA's comprehensive portfolio of products in the United States, Mexico, and South America.
Symmetry is offering an impressive portfolio of leading-edge products from Fujitsu Microelectronics America. For example, the Fujitsu full High-Definition (HD) H.264 CODEC IC products can compress and decompress full HD video (1,920 dots x 1,080 lines) in the H.264 format in real time. The full HD/SD transcoder can convert from MPEG-2 to the higher compression H.264 format to reduce data-storage requirements.
Symmetry also supplies the Fujitsu graphics display controllers. Fujitsu is a global leader in graphics display controllers, with a complete family of products designed specifically for embedded applications, including portable marine devices and avionics systems, factory automation systems, medical such as patient monitors and ultrasound systems, and automotive such as instrument clusters, in-dash navigation, heads-up display and rear-seat entertainment.
Symmetry also distributes and supports the Fujitsu microcontrollers, including general-purpose 8-, 16-, 32-bit MCUs, along with the new family of low-pin-count MCUs, and specialized ICs for peripheral control, which are widely used in automobile, home, industrial and consumer applications. Evaluation kits for all Fujitsu microcontrollers and touch-sensor controllers are also available through Symmetry.
