Rochester Electronics joins fight against counterfeit and substandard parts PDF Print E-mail

Rochester Electronics – a manufacturer and distributor that specializes in Extension-of-Life for semiconductors – has joined the fight against counterfeit and substandard parts.

Rochester’s dedication to the anti-counterfeiting effort is “to provide only products and services that 100% authorized by original manufacturers, 100% guaranteed and 100% traceable.” The company has been working with industry and government agencies, has published source information and have been involved in awareness programs.

Rochester has also aligned with the Semiconductor Industry Association and the National Electronic Distributors Association to further the fight. The China’s Ministry of Industry has also classified Rochester as a Chinese Reliable Electronic Component Supplier.

“As a member of the SIA Anti-Counterfeit Task Force, Rochester Electronics has long been a leader in the fight against substandard and counterfeit semiconductors. The programs we have created inspire confidence in semiconductor buyers,” said George Karalias, director of marketing and communications at Rochester Electronics. “Semiconductor authenticity is vital –especially in critical medical, military, and aerospace applications where the failure of a counterfeit device could have dire consequences.”
