Nortel Glory Days: Linking The Past With The Future PDF Print E-mail

Last March, Nortel Networks held a virtual global employee session using a prototype platform developed at its R&D facility in Ottawa. More than 150 people participated in the virtual environment. Hundreds more joined in at real-world auditoriums or large meeting rooms where they could see and hear so-called avatars (cartoon-like fi gures) on large screens, while others logged in from their desktops using more traditional Web conferencing tools.
