Murata Electronics North America introduced its smallest anisotropic
magneto resistance (AMR) switch to its product portfolio. The switches
measure only 1.0 mm x 0.9 mm x 0.5 mm. Murata's magnetic switches are a
cost effective replacement for traditional mechanical switches, which
typically have wear and tear problems over the life of the product.
Murata's more reliable magnetic switches are also designed to be
waterproof which is especially appealing to white good manufacturers.
The AS series complements Murata's comprehensive lineup of AMR switches that features industrial standard package sizes such as the SOT23 and the SON4 series. Murata's switches come in both high (1.5 mT) and low (3.0 mT) sensitivity models making them suitable for a wide variety of applications. The switches also feature low power consumption, as they require only 1.6 µA/1.8 V or 4.7 uA/5 V.
The AS series is ideal for open/close detection in white goods (home appliances such as refrigerators and dishwashers), security equipment and other consumer electronics including cell phones, laptops and digital cameras,
Dubbed the NJ-Series, and supported by Sysmac Studio machine automation software, Omron's Machine Automation Controller was created to integrate multiple specialized controllers - motion, logic, seque...
