 NKK Switches announced the
availability of the SW3800 Series of high-capacity rocker switches. The
series' robust design and high electrical capacity make it the perfect
choice for nearly any heavy duty application.
-SW3800 Series devices are standard size rocker switches
constructed of sturdy, high performance materials that include a steel
mounting frame. Additionally, these rockers feature screw terminals made
of brass with nickel plating. The actuators are white. Electrical capacity for these rockers, which is
particularly high among devices this size, rates at 30A @ 125V AC, 30A @
250V AC and 30A @ 30V DC for resistive loads; and up to 30A @125V AC
and 15A @ 250V AC for inductive loads.The SW3800
Series switches are designed for panel mount applications and are UL
Recognized and CSA Certified. They are available in DPST, DPDT, 3PST and
3PDT configurations with all circuits maintained. Mechanical life is rated at 50,000 operations minimum
and electrical life is rated at 25,000 operations minimum. The operating
temperature range spans -10 degrees to +70 degrees Celsius.Markets for these devices include industrial/commercial,
medical, instrumentation, telecommunications and transportation. They
are particularly well-suited to heavy duty applications such as
generators, welding equipment, pumps, deep fryers and lifts, to name
