Avnet and T.I. hit the road with seminar PDF Print E-mail
Avnet and Texas Instruments to offer free wireless technical design seminar.

The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas business region of Avnet, Inc. and Texas Instruments are launching a one-day wireless technical design seminar. The new seminar features live presentations and demonstrations of TI’s CC2500 RF transceivers and MSP430 microcontrollers, and is being offered free of charge at locations across North America starting July 14, 2009.

Avnet and Texas Instruments subject matter experts will share best practices, real world design success stories and provide hands-on demonstrations that show users how to build a wireless network using the CC25xx radio. Customers learn how to accelerate their development cycles by utilizing the features and benefits of the CC2500 and MSP430 devices and SimpliciTI network protocol software in their designs.

“Avnet’s wireless design seminar gives customers a unique opportunity to preview the latest design techniques from TI in a hands-on, one-on-one setting,” said Jeff Ittel, senior vice president of business development and marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “TI’s CC2500 transceivers and MSP430 microcontrollers can then be implemented into current design applications to help them accelerate their wireless product development cycles and reduce their time to market.”

“Texas Instruments is pleased to collaborate with Avnet to deliver a technical design seminar that will enable customers to quickly and easily implement a point-to-point or star wireless network for a wide variety of rapidly growing applications,” said Mike Claassen, worldwide end equipment applications manager for Texas Instruments. “TI’s leading portfolio of hardware, software, tools and system expertise helps customers simplify the RF design process.”

Each seminar participant will receive a free TI eZ430-RF2500 MSP430 wireless development tool. For more information visit: www.em.avnet.com/TILowPowerRF.

Seminars will also take place in Calgary and Vancouver in the fall.
